The methodology
Define the outcome, provide context, bound the work, grant useful autonomy, and reserve consequential actions for approval. Then specify how to recover from failure and how to recognize completion.
A recipe is a reusable starting point. A runbook is the execution specification you customize and copy into your agent. The builder compiles your selections locally; it does not call a model or execute the job.
Designed to travel
Use the output with capable AI agents, including GPT-6 Astra, ChatGPT Work, Codex, and other systems that accept detailed instructions. Tools and permissions depend on your chosen environment. A runbook guides execution; it cannot guarantee compliance, accuracy, or resource savings.

Your drafts and privacy
Runbook inputs are stored in this browser’s local storage, separately for each recipe and the blank builder. They are not sent to an AI service or application backend. Drafts are not synchronized across devices and can be lost when browser data is cleared.
Reset removes your edits to the current draft and restores its starting defaults. To remove every draft, clear this site’s browser data. Copying places your compiled instructions on your clipboard; pasting into another service is subject to that service’s policies.
Google Analytics is enabled to measure aggregate site usage, such as page views and interactions with recipes and the builder. Analytics events contain event names and recipe identifiers, not your project text. Site hosting may process ordinary request information to serve pages.
